Donna Roche is Waterford’s very own soprano whose musical journey began in Waterford before it embarked onto the professional stage and she is certainly no stranger to home Waterford audiences.

Donna began her training at WIT and went on to study with Dr. Veronica Dunne at the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin.

 

Donna has entertained at home and abroad as a soloist and has sang and performed in everything from music festivals here in Waterford with the Barrack Street Concert Band for the Tall Ships festival, to the West of Ireland’s Clifden Arts Festival with harpist Lynn Saoirse, Goodwick in Wales with the Waterford Male Voice Choir and Wexford Male Voice Choir, 1848 Tricolour Celebrations, Soloist for The Barrack Street Concert Band on numerous occasions under the baton of Mark Fitzgerald and further afield with a recital in the West Bank of Egypt. For Cork Opera House in productions of the sell out Rodger’s & Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music which was directed by the late Bryan Flynn, Hey! Mr. Director for Cork Opera House, The Promise at the Helix Theatre in Dublin, and more recently the O2 arena for Canadian Tenor Josh Groban’s All that Echoes tour.

 

Donna has performed as soloist with the Waterford Massed Band over the last number of years and having received numerous standing ovations for her moving delivery with her incredible range dusted with pure raw emotion. Her musical repertoire is hugely varied as her versatility as a performer crosses over from classical to sacred, traditional to musical theatre. Donna has just returned from a sell out american tour of new Irish musical called 'Find Your Way Home' which was performed in Albany, Boston and at Symphony Space on Broadway in NYC.
